Extended text labeling solutions and sustainable materials across a variety of packaging formats help a natural cosmetics manufacturer reposition their brand


NaturapathicaNaturopathica Holistic Health LLC, a manufacturer of natural skin and beauty products for 15 years, realized that their label and packaging did not adequately communicate the benefits of their brand. In an effort to expand their customer base, Naturopathica decided to completely rebrand their visual image and leverage their ECOCERT certification, which verifies that a company's products have been inspected and that its processes conform to natural and organic cosmetics standards.

After conducting research, Naturopathica decided to relaunch its products with an eye-catching signature blue hue across their entire portfolio on a wide variety of container types, including tubes, pump bottles, folding cartons, and jars. They also wanted to use sustainable materials that would reinforce their corporate dedication to sustainable business practices, while also conforming to ECOCERT certification requirements.

The label design leveraged the square shape of the new bottle, and that required precise placement of the sleeve. It was critical for the sleeve label to run through the equipment and hit the bottle in exactly the same spot every time.


WS Packaging Group's broad capabilities, in both print technologies and products, were utilized to provide the solution to Naturopathica's brand relaunch that involved nearly 100 products across a variety of packaging types and print methods.

For plastic tubes, the FlexVision™ extended text label was utilized to provide ample room for ECOCERT copy as well as dual languages. The label features a patented water resistant multi-ply construction that is 100% conformable on plastic tubes. The label design, with its easy open and reseal feature, allows the consumer to review information on the inside panel for up to two years.

Folding cartons were printed lithographically on materials made from 100% recycled fibers with a minimum of 35% post consumer waste. The primary display labels were printed digitally to match the FlexVision labels and folding cartons to support brand consistency.
