WS Packaging Group Inc. is an organization comprised of multiple facilities offering the widest array of printing and packaging with products and services as diverse as:  pressure sensitive labels and coupons (our core business), folded cartons, printed tape, decals, security tags, RFID labels, inserters, and applicators, commercial printing, specialty packaging, and custom application equipment.

WS Packaging Group, Inc. was formed in October 2000 with the merger of Wisconsin Label Corporation, founded in 1966, and Superior Label Systems, Inc., founded in 1970.  With this merger, WS Packaging Group became one of the top privately-owned label and tag manufacturers in the United States.  A further expansion of WS Packaging Group included the following acquisitions: February 2001 - the three facilities of Label Art, Inc., specializing in short-run label production; February 2002 - Blake Printery, San Luis Obispo, California, well known for its high-end prestige label manufacturing; July 2002 - IdentiGraphics, Portland, Oregon, a digital printer for short to medium production runs; June 2003 – Gorilla Label, Phoenix, Arizona, a flexographic printer with an excellent regional client base; October 2003 – Concept, Inc., Carson City, Nevada, a manufacturer of high-speed label applicators; August 2004 – Promo Edge Company, Neenah, Wisconsin, a well-known manufacturer of promotional, gaming, and sweepstakes products; September 2005 – Ampersand Label, Garden Grove, California, a west-coast manufacturer of patented extended text products; December 2005 – Renaissance Mark Narrow Web Division, Fullerton, CA and Monterrey, Mexico, flexographic facilities and first international venture.

With over 200 presses, WS Packaging Group has an extensive line of equipment to meet the needs of its customers.  Our press equipment includes Nilpeter, Mark Andy, Gallus, Arsoma, Komori, Comco, and other brands.  We have narrow-web flexographic units with water-based, UV, and in-line rotary-screen print options, 18” wide, up to 14 stations with in-line lamination;  sheetfed offset and web-offset, 28” x 42” and 10” wide, up to eight colors with finishing capabilities that include gluing, folding, windowing, saddle binding, die cutting, hot stamping, embossing, and hexachrome process;  flatbed screen print for printing up to four feet by ten feet, with CAD design and die cutting; Indigo® press for digital printing, up to seven colors, for short run, consecutive imaging, and cost efficiencies.  WS Packaging has specialty equipment for consecutive numbering and for affixing labels to roll or sheeted forms; overwrap units for fin-seal, shrink wrap, KleenSeal™, TUCK-PACK™, and three-dimensional overwrap; and off-line lamination units for cold/heat seal coatings.  Art department equipment consists of the latest state-of-the-art technology, hardware, and software for scanning, creative design, computer-to-plate, and proofing with over 70 Macintosh or PC stations.

Annual sales have exceeded $300,000,000 due to creative product innovation through our R&D staff, our on-line web site services, WebFlex™ online service, which enhances our customer’s daily business interaction with us, and retention of long-term customers such as Sara Lee Foods, Coca-Cola, Kroger Company, Dean Foods, and the ConAgra companies.
