JOB SUMMARY: The Press Support is an entry-level position in our printing facility which assists in a wide range of production activities. In this role, you will have the opportunity to gain the necessary experience to progress to more skilled positions within the department.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

*Reads and understands job jacket.

*Uses information on work instructions to ensure that all equipment needed is on set up cart.

*Mount plates as required.

*Performs machine wash up with use of wash up cart following standard work.

*Performs machine make-ready to run proper production including removing and loading print cylinders, material, lamination, die, score, following etc.

*Assist operators with setting up any auxiliary equipment.

*Empties trash and rag containers as they become full.

*Makes sure all equipment is returned to preproduction area.

*Performs other related duties to contribute to the success of the operation as assigned by supervision.

EDUCATION: High School diploma or general education degree (GED); related warehouse experience.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS: Must regularly lift and/or move up to 10 pounds, frequently lift and/or move up to 25 pounds, and occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.
